Bordeaux → La Réole

Set off early from Bordeaux for a rich and varied first day. The Roger Lapébie cycle path leads you through the Entre-deux-Mers region, past forests, vineyards, and renovated old train stations. You ride through Créon and Sauveterre-de-Guyenne before reaching La Réole, perched above the Garonne.

This charming medieval town is the perfect spot for an overnight stay: stroll its cobbled lanes, watch the sun set over the river, and enjoy a hearty dinner at a local inn. Overnight in La Réole.

La Réole → Agen

In the morning, leave La Réole and head for the Garonne Canal at Fontet. From here, the ride becomes a gentle invitation to daydream: shaded greenways, majestic plane trees, and a peaceful atmosphere along the water.
