Paris ; ideas of bikes tours for the day

1. The real tour of Paris by bike

A 50 km loop, Paulette will take you around the capital! For the starting point, we recommend our bike rental agency located at 115 Rue Brancion, but you can also decide to start from wherever you want, you will find the route by following this link ; and now launch yourself into a rather sportive day of cycling ! You will cross nearly 10 arrondissements and more than 70 green spaces such as the Bois de Vincennes and the Bois de Boulogne; great places for your picnic break! This loop is an opportunity to discover Paris in a different way, taking advantage of numerous viewpoints on the city.

2. Loop on the banks of the Marne

Meet us in the 15th district of Paris, in our Paulette bike rental agency, and go to the Gare de Lyon through the famous Latin Quarter, in order to see the Cathedral of Notre-Dame de Paris from the other side of the river. Start a thirty kilometers loop by bike (find the itinerary here) on the banks of La Marne and La Seine. Enjoy a bucolic ride only a few kilometers from Paris, pedaling along a perfectly laid out bicycle path lined with "guinguettes" (small restaurants). Finish the loop by crossing the Bois de Vincennes on your bikes.

3. The tour of the Bois de Vincennes

Here, you will also have to start this loop from the Gare de Lyon. To reach it by bike, you can take the same route as the one mentioned above, or cross the Alesia district and go through the Jardin des Plantes. Once you arrive at the Gare de Lyon, head to one of the famous green spaces of Paris; the Bois de Vincennes. After a one hour ride to reach it, you will need another one to go all around and enjoy its different points of interest; the lakes, the floral park, the racecourse... You can choose to rent your bikes for the day and take the opportunity to visit the Château de Vincennes!

4. Cycling along the Seine in the Hauts-De-Seine

For this bike ride, we advise you to go to Colombes by bike because this one hour ride will take you through the heart of Paris with a view on the Invalides and the Champs-Élysées. Once in Colombes, it is time to discover the banks of the Seine outside the capital. The course being relatively flat, you can pedal quietly at the rhythm of the water and take full advantage of the rural landscape. You return to Colombes by taking the Pont de Chatou, which will make you fly over the island and the park of the impressionists. Don't hesitate to take a break there!

5. The Domaine de Saint-Cloud by bike

The family ride par excellence; reach the Domaine National de Saint-Cloud thanks to the Bord de Seine à vélo. Allow an hour or so on the more than 80% of lanes that have been developed to reach the Domaine National de Saint-Cloud by bike. Then spend the day at the domain to fully enjoy a green setting outside Paris. Ride your bike to your heart's content in this park which offers several choices of rides. You can even enjoy some panoramic views of the city of Paris!

6. From Paris to Versailles by bike

Discover one of the most beautiful castles in the Paris region; the Château de Versailles. A bike ride of about an hour and a half to reach the Castle, you will then have all the leisure to discover the Park of Versailles and to visit the interior of the Castle if you wish it. For your return to Paris, you can either get back on your bikes to do the ride in the opposite direction, or take the RER to Paris.

7. Emblematic sites

If you don't know the wonders of the city of Paris yet, follow this itinerary which will offer you a summary of the jewels of the capital. Between emblematic neighborhoods, terraces and Parisian boulevards, must-see monuments and museums, you will cycle through the must-see sites of Paris in less than 2 hours! 8. The Coulée verte to start the Véloscénie

Discover the first stage of the famous Véloscénie by pedaling to the city of Massy. This is a relatively short ride, so don't hesitate to get off your bike from time to time to discover the environment in which you are pedaling. You will pass by the Domaine Départemental de Sceaux, where you can discover the park and the castle, which houses a museum. Visit the domain's website to plan your visit.
