France has been the world's leading tourist destination for about 20 years and welcomes about 85 million visitors a year. What if we took the time to appreciate all this heritage, culture, and landscapes that everyone comes here to discover? Whatever your desires, lazing on the beaches of the Côtes d'Azur, strolling the EuroVélo routes, discovering the vineyards of Burgundy, skiing in the Alps or (re-) discovering the Loire Valley castles and the Louvre museum, you will have something to enjoy in our country.
You loved your pad Thai in Thailand and a tagine on your arrival in Morocco is a must? For you too, travelling also means discovering the local gastronomy? You will love to immerse yourself in the regional cuisines of our country. Do you know the Catalan trinxat? The Ossau Iraty from the Basque Country? The Lyon hot sausage? The Breton Kouign-Amann? The gastronomic wealth of France is infinite. And let us not forget its many wine regions. Do you rather like Alsace? Beaujolais? Languedoc? Bordeaux? Champagne?
No more endless stopovers, no more time changes, a train ticket or a couple of flights, and you will already be on vacation, ready to enjoy. Despite all its treasures, France remains a relatively small country, which allows you to enjoy your vacation to the fullest, with no lost moments.
Wherever you decide to go, you will never be far from a great city to visit or a natural park. Indeed, 25% of the surface of the French territory is covered by national or regional natural parks. And the exceptional cities in France would be too numerous to mention: Paris, Lyon, Marseille, Toulouse, Carcassonne, Narbonne, Rennes, Rouen, Lille, La Rochelle, Nice, Strasbourg ... We are sure that you have not already visited them all!
No need to take a plane to travel in France. However, the ecological impact of a trip depends mainly on the means of transport used to get there. The less you travel, the more you reduce your carbon footprint.
If we have not yet managed to convince you:
