Cycle to Saumur in the heart of the Loire Valley and Anjou to discover France's elite cavalry corps. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2011, which describes it as a "living national treasure", the Cadre Noir de Saumur aims to train and perpetuate the influence of traditional French equitation. Stroll through one of the most beautiful villages in France
Montsoreau, one of the most beautiful villages in France, is about ten kilometres from Saumur by bike. Made famous by Alexandre DUMAS' novel "La dame de Montsoreau", take your bike and discover this village and its remarkable castle along the Loire. If you wish to extend your ride, discover Candes-Saint-Martin, an adjacent village, also classified among the most beautiful villages of France. Finally, within a 10km radius you can also discover the royal fortress of Chinon or the abbey of Fontevraud by bike.

A tour of the plant world in one trip
Go on a "world tour in 5,000 plants and trees"! The adventure is proposed by Terra Botanica, the first European theme park entirely dedicated to plants. Located in the north of Angers, where you can get there by bike, the park proposes through its 5 universes around plants, its numerous attractions (hot-air balloon flight, 4D experiences and virtual reality), games and animations, to discover the secrets and the history of plants with your family or friends.

Discover the local wildlife in Tours
If you are cycling through Tours, the Touraine Bird Protection League, which works to protect species and raise awareness of the environment in Indre-et-Loire, offers nature outings with this aim. Children and adults alike can therefore contemplate birds thanks to the observatories, but also discover a particular species of bird, or even bats thanks to targeted outings!
